This site was a fun project. To provide this customer with a great functional site that would allow them to easily change there site within seconds, add a page within minutes or update any content that they saw fit with no coding knowledge.

The PHP coding is done in OOP to allow easy changes and manipulation for site growth and development. Systems protecting from spam attacks in the Quote Form to prevent an overload on the servers.

All of this, the great coding and design translates into a fully functional and scalable site based on the sole purpose of a user friendly site.

Jet Trek Air Corp

September 14th, 2008

Jet Trek Air Corp was in need of a simple ordering system for clients who wanted to fly somewhere to put in the when and where to request a quote on the price.

This system is complete with a calander selection date, as well as a list of all the possible airports they fly out of.

This site is an example of how javascript when used correctly can make a website much more user friendly.

This website was to be incorporated into joomula as well. After roughly 2 days of work this system was completed and was running amazing ready to take orders 24/7. Sending those orders to a blackberry with the persons name, to and from and phone number for them to contact them back.

In the end this system was amazing to work on and brought me great joy in seeing it finished and running smoothly.

MyTownBusiness.com

September 14th, 2008

Http://www.mytownbusiness.comMy towns business was in need of a polling system to be used for its town members to vote on recent issues. This poll was needed to be implemented into Joomula Content Management System.

After roughly 3 days work the system was running beautifully. With a simple to use Admin Panel for administrators to create and edit polls, reset the votes and many other options this was a simple yet powerful system, the trade mark of Liveman Systems. The user side was just as friendly with a sliding vote count after submit was pressed, and an IP tracked system to prevent mult-ips.

In the end this product seemed to represent exactly what the customer had asked for. A true example of what I always try to accomplish and wil work tirelessly until I have done so.

Chrome…

September 14th, 2008

Alright,

Every other site is talking about it so I guess I should too. Google Chrome is it good or bad. Well here is my take on this, dare i say ‘next gen’,  web browser. Did google do their job or is this just a huge blunder and the biggest mistake ever for google?

After looking at the BETA and trying it out, even trying to get it to crash I was not able to. That says alot for a beta program. The speed of it is amazing and its lighteight running, using practically no memory this is an amazing addition to the google tools that you already have.

The interface of Chrome is simple, almost to simple with really no settings except the necessary ones such as network, home page and interfaces (add the home page button) . The idea of Chromes default home page, showing the most frequently viewed websites (by you) and old tabs has shown to come in handy when you realize you need that information again.

With that said remember it is still in BETA released only a week ago, it has no tools, no addons yet and google still needs to get what they want in their broweser before they start taking advice from the public.

For the public, at least currently, it might be too simple however for its purpose, creating a browser that is fast and reliable for their employees. As well it is amazing for its online web apps, word, spreadsheet even gmail. It was a necessary creation by Google if they would like to defeat Microsoft in the ‘application war’.

However as for the browser-war it seems to me that Firefox is still atop of it all, and IE 8 (beta) stil is near the bottom, with its not so user friendly interface and security.

I cannot wait to see a chrome with addons and hopefully more interface options.

For my vote I will give Chrome: 8 / 10. Lets hope they can get that up

Church of England apologizes to Darwin…

September 14th, 2008

Nearly 150 years after Charles Darwin publishes his most famous book “The Origin of Species” and having the Church of England critizes Darwin for his belifs and studies the church is looking for forgiveness.

according to Teleography.co.uk the Church’s director of mission and public affairs, Rev Dr Malcolm Brown, told christians”… Christians, in their response to Darwin’s theory of natural selection, repeated the mistakes they made in doubting Galileo’s astronomy in the 17th century.”

This statement has many Christians ‘on edge’ as most Christians believe the theory of creationism, which is a direct opposite to the theory of evolution and natural selection.

Many Christian leaders are saying that this is a test of faith for their followers.

Look for the launch of this statement to be made on the Church of England’s website Monday (September 15, 2008).  The statement was told to look something like the following:

“…Charles Darwin: 200 years from your birth, the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still. We try to practice the old virtues of ‘faith seeking understanding’ and hope that makes some amends.”
